Sources & methodology

Every data page on this site cites where its facts come from. This page lists all of those sources and explains the rules we apply before a number is allowed to appear as real.
The data hierarchy
When sources disagree, higher rungs win:
- Official publisher data — set lists, pack contents, and printed odds from the game’s publisher.
- Marketplace data — product and listing information from TCGplayer. Prices change constantly, so we link to live listings instead of asserting prices.
- Community observed data — aggregated public pack openings and community datasets.
- Internal editorial analysis — our own judgment, used to interpret the above, never to override it.
Hard rule: any rate that does not come from an official publisher is always labeled an observed estimate — never presented as official odds, and never as a guarantee.

Demo data policy
During development some datasets are placeholders, marked isDemo in our data. Demo numbers exist only so pages can be built and tested. They must be replaced with verified, licensed data before being cited as real, and demo-flagged content is labeled as such wherever it renders.
Image policy
We do not use copyrighted card or product images. Pages use placeholder art until we have properly licensed imagery. Card names, set names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

If a source is outdated or a number looks wrong, the corrections page is the fastest way to get it reviewed and fixed.
