The FINAL FANTASY Universes Beyond set brought Square Enix's franchise into Magic as a full standard-legal release, and became one of the best-selling Magic sets ever. Borderless character treatments of Sephiroth, Cloud and other icons dominate chase demand, concentrated in Collector Boosters. Play Boosters serve drafting and gameplay; Collector Boosters carry the premium treatments.
Edge of Eternities is Magic's space-fantasy standard set, taking the game to the edge of the universe with celestial mechanics and cosmic showcase treatments. Sothera, the Supervoid leads collector interest among the set's premium treatments. It ships in the modern Play Booster / Collector Booster split.

Modern Magic has two booster types: the 14-card Play Booster (the default for playing, drafting and casual opening) and the premium Collector Booster (15–16 mostly-foil cards at several times the price, where special treatments concentrate). Draft and Set Boosters are legacy formats replaced by Play Boosters in 2024. Players building specific decks should still buy singles or Commander precons first.
